#10 Homepage structure: create a real editorial front page system

The homepage is currently list-based, but it could better resemble a magazine front page.

Suggested structure:

  • Featured story at the top
  • “Latest stories” section below it
  • Topic/category groupings after that
  • Optional sidebar for about, top topics, or archives

Why this matters:

  • Gives the site a stronger identity
  • Helps readers discover more content
  • Makes the front page feel curated instead of purely chronological
